(Feb 2010) - weight-bearing cardboard structure project in a 3D art class.
It was a fully collapsible, self-supporting structure made of only cardboard (with only small strips of tape holding the outer "cosmetic" structures, and spraypaint, of course) that could support upwards of 250-300 pounds (considering my boyfriend and I could easily fit on top). Part of the reason for that was for the ability to collapse it and take it home, and the fact that there wasn't enough wood glue provided for all of us so I made it work without glue.
I had designed the pieces that are supposed to be on each edge of the cube, but it would have been impossible with the amount of time and energy remaining.

So, this is made entirely of cardboard? WOW! I want one! 8D
